On Monday morning, Joe Lunardi released his first Bracketology of the 2020-2021 season. The Wright State Raiders were listed as the automatic bid out of the Horizon League, as a 14 seed.

The duo of Loudon Love and Grand Canyon transfer Tim Finke has brought a lot of excitement going into next season. Wright State last made the tournament during Love’s freshman year in 2018, where they were also a 14 seed, losing to third-seeded Tennessee, 73-47.

In this Bracketology, Lunardi has the Raiders pitted against Iowa in Lexington. Although the location is the best draw for WSU (Lexington is only two hours away), the Hawkeyes will probably return Player of the Year candidate Luka Garza and be a National Title contender.

Another major storyline going into this hypothetical game, is Iowa’s Twitter feud with nearby Dayton. Iowa thinks everything they have is better than the University of Dayton and the city as a whole. The Raiders would have a chance to shut them up here though.
