IUPUI-Detroit Mercy Bingo Night

Welcome along sickos! We’re happy to have you along for the main event in sports this week. At 7pm tonight, the winless Detroit Mercy Titans go for win number 1 against fellow bottom feeder IUPUI. The 6-20 Jaguars only have 3 wins against D1 opponents, and one of those came against the Titans. IUPUI comes into the game ranked 361st (out of 362) in KenPom, while the Titans claim the 357 spot. 

If that doesn’t intrigue you enough, IUPUI ranks dead last in Division one in three pointers per game, as well as three point percentage. All hope is not lost for the Jags however, as Detroit is the only 0-26 team in the country.

Each team is not without bright spots however. Jayden Stone of UDM actually leads the Horizon League in scoring at over 20 points per game, while IUPUI is led by Jlynn Counter, a returning all league player. IUPUI has two road wins over Fort Wayne, and Valpo and will look to keep that road warrior mentality into historic Calihan Hall. Detroit’s best results this year include a double overtime loss to Robert Morris, and a one point loss to Ole Miss (yes, THAT Ole Miss).
