Green Bay hosted crosstown, Division 3 foe the St. Norbert Golden Knights in an exhibition game Thursday night, where the Phoenix flew past St. Norbert by a score of 102-73.

Anthony Roy, who head coach Doug Gottlieb described as a “bucket getter” this offseason, lived up to this moniker, dropping 46 points on the Golden Knights, most of which came from behind the arc.  Preston Ruedinger was the next leading scorer for the Phoenix with 14 points.  True freshman Jeremiah Johnson also ended up in double figures with 11 points.

St. Norbert kept pace with Green Bay early on, making the game a one-point contest, before the Phoenix went on a 19-0 run late in the first half.  The Golden Knights would never get closer again. Jamison Nickolai led scoring for Gary Grzesk’s Golden Knights with 17 points.

Green Bay will get the Doug Gottlieb era officially started on November 4th, against Gottlieb’s alma mater, Oklahoma State.
