Year one under Chandler McCabe saw the Colonials finish 10-10 in the conference and end the season with a sub-.500 record. Last season, Robert Morris improved to positive records in both conference play and as a whole, going 11-9 in conference play and 18-12 overall.
As McCabe enters year three as the program’s head coach, improvement continues to be the goal.
RMU will be without two of their three leading scorers from last season, as Aislin Malcolm and Bailey Kuhns both graduated. Last year’s second-leading scorer is back, though, as Myriam Traore looks to build off her stellar sophomore campaign.
Traore will be accompanied by five players from last year’s squad, most notably Eva Levingston and Ava Leroux.
McCabe attacked the portal hard this offseason, with six of RMU’s nine new players being transfers. A big name to watch is Mackenzie Blackford, a lights out shooter from Duquesne.
With Robert Morris posting a 27% mark from beyond the arc as a team last season, Blackford will be a big help toward raising that number.
RMU will open the 2026-27 season on the road against Blackford’s former school on November 16.
A cool story among the Colonials’ new players is sisters Timberlynn and Teigh Yeast joining the team together. Teigh is a multi-sport athlete in high school who had a stellar basketball career at George Rogers Clark. Meanwhile, Timberlynn is an NIT standout who had a solid redshirt sophomore season at Marshall.
Robert Morris will have one international recruit, Sira Diarra, as well as two grad students, Maeva Fotsa and Page Greenburg, joining the team as well.
The Colonials will have a stacked non-conference schedule this upcoming season. In addition to the aforementioned Duquesne, RMU is set to face Clemson on Thanksgiving Day (November 26) and West Virginia on December 15. Their first conference opponent will be Green Bay on December 3.
RMU was a stellar defensive team in 2025-26, out-rebounding opponents by a margin of 4.7 boards per night. The Colonials also averaged slightly over one block per game compared to their opponent last season.
However, the Colonials will look to play cleaner basketball in 2026-27. They turned the ball over slightly more than their opponent last year, with opponents able to generate points off those turnovers. The other team also averaged eight steals per game when facing Robert Morris.
Additionally, they’ll need to be somewhat more efficient from the charity stripe. Robert Morris shot 77% as a team from the free-throw line last year.
Returning Players

After being recognized as a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Fab 5 Player in 2024-25, Creach decided to stay local and play at RMU. Four days later against Eastern Michigan, she tallied her season high of four points.
Mallory Daly, 5-8, G, Pittsburgh, PA, Seton LaSalle HS
Last season was Daly’s first at RMU, as the Buffalo transfer came back home after spending her high school days at Seton LaSalle. On the campaign in total, she recorded 24 points, 32 rebounds, 20 assists, 10 steals and three blocks.

She started all 27 games she appeared in, averaging 9.3 points on 50.6% shooting from the field. Her 6.5 rebounds per game ranked sixth in the Horizon League, as she led the team with 176 total rebounds. She scored a career-high 21 points in back-to-back games on February 19 and 21 against Detroit Mercy and Oakland.
Myriam Traore, 6-3, G/F, Lognes, France, Jean Mermoz HS
Traore was a member of the Horizon All-League Third Team in her first season with the Colonials, after averaging 11.7 points and 5 rebounds on 45.5% shooting from the field. She was RMU’s leader in field goals made (130), three-point percentage (.347) and blocks (32), while tying for the team lead in three-pointers made (42). Traore’s career high came in RMU’s victory over Detroit Mercy on February 19, when she scored 22 points. She scored in double digits in 18 of her 30 games.
Sanai Troutman, 5-11, G/F, Frederick, MD, Bullis HS
Troutman’s freshman year at RMU was brief, as she suffered a season-ending injury after appearing in only one game against UIC on November 3, 2025. She’s back for her first full season on the court for the Colonials, now as a redshirt freshman.
Incoming Players
Mackenzie Blackford, 5-7, G, Solon, OH, Solon HS, Duquesne
Blackford was a big addition in the transfer portal for head coach Chandler McCabe. She was a very reliable three-point shooter for the Dukes, making 75 triples last season, tied for seventh best in program history. She also made seven threes in a single game last season, tying her for the sixth most triples in a single game. Her career high came on February 7 against St. Bonaventure when she scored 27 points. RMU’s first game of the season is against Duquesne, a huge game right out of the gate for Blackford.
Sira Diarra, 6-4, F, Draveil, France, Lycee Larmatrine Macon HS
Diarra will be the lone international recruit joining the Robert Morris women’s squad for 2026-27 and beyond. The 6-foot-4 forward comes from France.
Maeva Fotsa, 6-2, C, Quebec, Canada, Austin Peay
Fotsa is one of two grad students on the team, as she comes over to RMU after spending her senior season at Austin Peay. The 6-foot-2 center, who also averaged eight minutes a game at the forward position, posted a season-high six rebounds on three different occasions. She appeared in 25 games for the Senators, earning two starts and shooting 48.1% from the field.
Page Greenburg, 5-9, G, Washington, D.C., Maret HS, George Mason
Greenburg joins Meava Fosta as the only other grad student on the roster. During her senior season at George Mason, she was named the Patriots’ co-captain, appearing in 30 games. She tallied 78 points, 40 rebounds, 12 assists, 11 steals and three blocks on the year. On November 3, she tallied 11 points and hit a season-high three triples against Temple. A week later, she notched her season high of four steals, as well as 11 more points against Florida A&M.
Meghan Murray, 5-5, G, Hampton, PA, Hampton HS, Kent State
After two seasons at Kent State, Meghan Murray will play her junior season at RMU. She played in all 33 games for the Golden Flashes last season. On December 15, 2025, she tied her career-high of 11 points against Davis & Elkins. She scored 45 points in total on the year, shooting 28.6% from the field.
Teigh Yeast, 5-9, G, Harrodsburg, KY, George Rogers Clark HS
A multi-sport athlete who won state championships in basketball, track and volleyball, Yeast brings her 1,927 high school points to RMU for her first collegiate season. Her 12.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per game helped the Cardinals of George Rogers Clark HS win the state championship with a 33-2 record. She was named the 2025-26 Co-10th Region Player of the Year, as well as the recipient of the Donna L.J. Murphy Award. She was recognized by the Courier Journal the last two seasons, as a member of the All-State Girls Basketball Third Team in 2025 and the First Team in 2026.
Timberlynn Yeast, 5-9, G/F, Hampton, PA, Mercer County HS, Marshall
You can’t have one sister without the other. With Teigh Yeast now at RMU as a recruit, her sister, Timberlynn, has transferred over from Marshall. The former Thundering Herd guard/forward averaged 6.7 points on 43.4% shooting from the field during her redshirt sophomore season. Yeast was dominant on the glass, leading the team in total rebounds and defensive rebounds. She showed out in the women’s NIT, being named to the tournament’s Championship and All-Tournament Teams after posting double figures in three of Marshall’s five victories. Out of seven of her double figure scoring games, five of them came during conference play.
