As we have done ever year, the HoriZone Roundtable compiles a list of the players entering and existing their respective teams. This year, we’ve decided to start early, as coaching changes at Detroit Mercy and IUPUI have prompted players who are already declaring their intent to transfer.
In recent years, the transfer portal has become a huge difference-maker, as much of Green Bay’s turnaround under first-year head coach Sundance Wicks can be attributed to players who came in, including Horizon League Newcomer of the Year Noah Reynolds. Several All-League players, including Cleveland State’s Tristan Enaruna, Robert Morris’ Markeese Hastings and multiple prominent Youngstown State players (Brandon Rush, Ziggy Reid, DJ Burns, Brent Thompson) have come from the portal.
