Some teams have hit the halfway point in the league season, which means the stakes of every game will only begin to raise in the coming weeks. Here is how they all currently stack up in this week’s edition of the power rankings.

 1. Wright State

The Raiders had the weekend off and secured a 93-83 win over Youngstown State. The best news for Wright State? Leading scorer Michael Cooper returned from injury and played for the first time in 2026. WSU holds the top spot in the standings and the power rankings.

2. Oakland (+1)

Oakland responded with their home loss to Wright State with a sweep in Wisconsin. Oakland put together its two best defensive performances of the season. If that continues to be a trend the Golden Grizzlies are going to be that much tougher to deal with in the back half of conference play.

3. Purdue Fort Wayne (+1)

Don’t look now, but Purdue Fort Wayne has won four in a row. Mikale Stevenson had 34 points in the win against Milwaukee. The three-headed guard monster continues to be extremely hard to defend, which was shown in their 100 point performance against Milwaukee.

4. Green Bay (-2)

Green Bay got a nice comfortable win at Cleveland State, but was overmatched at home against Oakland. Green Bay has enough on offense to win some games, but they will need to get some things cleaned up on the glass and defensively to be considered a true top tier contender.

5. Northern Kentucky

The Norse suffered a tough loss at home to Robert Morris, losing by three in overtime. It wasn’t due to Donovan Oday’s lack of scoring, though, as he poured in 38 points. He looks like an all league first team contender. Northern Kentucky did manage a split this week with a blowout win over Detroit Mercy.

6. Robert Morris (+1)

What a massive win for Robert Morris at Northern Kentucky. After losing three in a row and four of five, Andy Toole benched his starting backcourt. DeSean Goode and Nikolaos Chitikoudis responded with double doubles off the bench, and the Colonials may have saved their season. Three in a row at home coming up.

7. Detroit Mercy (+1)

Detroit Mercy has taken care of the bottom of the league. The Titans are 4-0 against Cleveland State and IU Indy and also beat Youngstown State. At 5-4, we will find out how real the Titans are in the coming weeks. TJ Nadeau continues to be impressive.

8. Milwaukee (-2)

If Milwaukee gets Faizon Fields and Danilo Jovanovich back, they will look very different. For now though, it’s a struggle. The Panthers lost two games by double digits to Purdue Fort Wayne and Oakland this week, and now make the long trip to Robert Morris and Youngstown State. Still a dangerous team, but they need a win.

9. Cleveland State (+1)

The Vikings secured their first win of 2026 with a home victory over Youngstown State. In a season that has yielded few positives, here’s a few. Dayan Nessah looks like an all league player, and Cleveland State has won two of their last three home games. Nice to get a win before a brutal four game stretch upcoming.

10. Youngstown State (-1)

Man, I still think this is a good basketball team. It’s now two straight losses for the Penguins after a loss to Cleveland State. Youngstown State has four of its next five games at home, and if they don’t make some kind of progress during that stretch of games — this team just might not have it. Jury is not completely out yet though.

11. IU Indy

Jags are on the board! And in spectacular fashion. IU Indy beat the defending league champions in Robert Morris 96-93 in overtime for their first league win. They then played Detroit Mercy down to the wire. While there will be struggles, I don’t think this team is done adding to their win total.
