In response to the third-party claim that Indiana University filed against former coach Paul Corsaro as part of responding to the lawsuit filed by six former IU Indy players, as well as Corsaro’s resulting countersuit against IU, the first Jaguar players have requested that Corsaro himself be added as a defendant to their lawsuit, according to court record obtained by the HoriZone Roundtable.

On Friday, Marion County Superior Court granted the request, as submitted by the legal counsel for Briggs McClain, Ebenezer Ogoh, Nate Dudukovich, Julian Steinfeld, Ron Rutland III and Caleb Hannah.

The full request can be read below:

Below is the order in which the judge in the case, Jennifer Prinz Harrison, granted the former players’ request.

As for next steps, that will depend upon all the parties involved. Corsaro, through his legal counsel, will likely respond to this latest filing, as will Indiana University, probably reiterating its stance from its original response.
